Community Guidelines

Lark is a casual, informal running group, not a membership or a formal organization, and no signup is required to run with us. Being part of Lark means agreeing to a few simple things that keep our runs safe, welcoming, and good for the neighborhood we run through.

On the run

Obey street signs and traffic signals, and be aware of and courteous toward cars, cyclists, and other pedestrians we share the road with. Respect private property along our routes, and stay on public sidewalks and streets. We're guests in this neighborhood every single week, and we want to be the kind of guests people are glad to see coming back.

With each other

Run at your own pace, and be encouraging of others doing the same, whatever that pace looks like. Lark is meant to be a place where everyone feels welcome, and we ask that you treat every runner, volunteer, and neighbor with basic courtesy and respect.

Voluntary participation

Lark Run Club is an informal, volunteer-run community gathering, not a formal organization. Participation in group runs is voluntary, and each runner is responsible for their own safety, pace, and awareness of traffic and surroundings. By joining a run, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

If guidelines aren't followed

We want Lark to remain safe and welcoming for everyone. If someone consistently disregards these guidelines, whether that's unsafe behavior on the run, disrespect toward the neighborhood, or treatment of others in the group that doesn't reflect Lark's values, we reserve the right to ask that person not to continue running with us.
